3. Effectively Engage with Stakeholders
Stakeholder: stakeholder can be defined as individuals, groups, or entities that have the potential affect, be affected by, or perceive themself to be affected by a decision, activity, or outcome of a project.
Stakeholder Engagement: Stakeholder engagement refers to the process by which organizations can interact with their current stakeholders through listening, collaboration, or providing information, or a combination of these approaches. This process involves identifying, mapping, and prioritizing stakeholders to determine the most effective communication strategies while optimizing available resources.
Why Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging stakeholders allows organizations to proactively address the needs and interests of individuals or groups with a vested interest in their operations. This can result in strengthened connections, trust, confidence, and support for the organization’s key initiatives. Successful stakeholder engagement also helps mitigate potential risks and conflicts, such as uncertainty, dissatisfaction, misalignment, disengagement, and resistance to change, when executed effectively.
